Taurine IV Add-On
Taurine comes in two doses. $25 for 100mg or $100 for 500mg. It goes into the same bag as whatever drip you booked and adds no time to the visit. A licensed registered nurse handles it, anywhere across Dallas-Fort Worth, seven days a week.

What Taurine Does
Taurine is an amino acid, though it behaves differently from most of them. Your body does not use it to build protein. It uses it for other things.
It is involved in hydration at the cellular level, helping regulate the balance of fluid and minerals inside your cells. It also plays a role in normal muscle function and in how your body handles bile salts during digestion.
Your body makes taurine on its own and you also get it from meat and fish. Levels can run lower in people on plant based diets and can be depleted by sustained physical stress, which is why it shows up in recovery formulations.

Who Adds It
Athletes who already book Athletic Recovery at $325 and want a higher dose than the base contains. That is the most common reason for the $100 option. People adding recovery support to a drip that does not have it, most often Relief Essentials at $125 after a hard session. Anyone on a plant based diet, since dietary taurine comes almost entirely from meat and fish. People in heavy training blocks where the cellular hydration angle matters alongside plain fluid replacement. Clients who have tried it, decided it does something for them, and now add it routinely.
Pairs Well With
Athletic Recovery at $325, where the base dose is already in and the $100 option adds more.
Amino Blend at $25, the other recovery add-on and the most common pairing.
Magnesium at $25, since both relate to muscle function and both go out with sweat.
Relief Essentials at $125 if you want fluids plus recovery support without the vitamins.
Honest Expectations
Taurine is one of the less oversold ingredients in IV therapy, largely because it is harder to make dramatic claims about than NAD+ or glutathione. What it does is support normal cellular hydration and muscle function. Those are real roles and they are also modest ones. It is not a stimulant, despite showing up in energy drinks, and it will not produce a noticeable effect the way caffeine does.
Most people do not feel taurine specifically. They feel the drip it came in. That is worth knowing before you spend $100 on the higher dose.
It does not treat any condition. If you have a heart or liver condition, speak to your doctor first and mention it during the health review.
How It Is Given
Taurine goes into the same IV bag as the drip you booked. Tell your nurse which dose you want and she will confirm it makes sense for you.
A licensed registered nurse places and monitors every drip. Before your visit, a provider reviews your health history and confirms what you booked is appropriate for you. Tell us about any medication you take, any condition you manage, and any prior reaction to an IV.
Mobile IV therapy is a wellness service and is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Which Dose Makes Sense
The gap between $25 and $100 is significant, so it is worth understanding what you are choosing between.
The 100mg option at $25 is a supporting dose. It makes sense as one addition among several, or when you are adding taurine to a drip that does not contain any.
The 500mg option at $100 is for people who specifically want taurine at volume, usually athletes who already know how they respond and are adding it on top of Athletic Recovery.
If you have never had taurine before, start at $25. Nothing about starting low wastes money, and it tells you whether it does anything for you before you spend four times as much.
Your nurse will tell you the same thing when she arrives.
Taurine Questions
What is the difference between the two prices?
$25 gets you 100mg. $100 gets you 500mg. Start at the lower dose if you have not had it before.
Is it already in Athletic Recovery?
Yes, at the base dose. The $100 option adds more on top.
Is this the same taurine as in energy drinks?
The same amino acid, yes. It is not a stimulant and the effect people associate with those drinks comes from caffeine, not taurine.
Will I feel it?
Most people do not feel taurine specifically. They feel the drip it came in.
Should I get this or Amino Blend?
Different things. Amino Blend is protein building blocks for muscle repair. Taurine is cellular hydration and muscle function. Athletes often get both.
Is there anyone who should avoid it?
Anyone with a heart or liver condition should speak to their doctor first and mention it during the health review.
Does it add time to my visit?
No.
