Zinc IV Add-On

Zinc is $25 added to any drip. It is our most requested add-on through the winter. It goes into the same bag as whatever you booked and adds no time to the visit. A licensed registered nurse handles it, anywhere across Dallas-Fort Worth, seven days a week.

What Zinc Does

Zinc is a mineral your body uses constantly. It is involved in immune cell function, in normal wound healing, in your sense of taste and smell, and in the enzymes that drive hundreds of reactions in your body.

Your body does not store much of it, which means intake matters on an ongoing basis rather than in bursts. You get it from meat, shellfish, legumes, nuts, and seeds.

Mild shortfall is more common than people expect, particularly among older adults, people on plant based diets, and anyone with a condition that affects absorption. Plant sources also contain compounds that reduce how much zinc your body takes up from them.

Already In These Drips

Zinc is not included in any of our drips as standard, which makes it a genuine addition rather than a duplicate.

Drip Contains zinc
Relief Support, our Myers Cocktail, $195 No, add for $25
High Dose Vitamin-C, $250 No, add for $25
Respiratory Relief, $250 No, add for $25

Who Books It

People booking immune support through the winter. Zinc and vitamin C together is the most common combination on our menu from November through March. Anyone adding it to Relief Support at $195, which is our most booked drip and does not contain zinc. People on plant based diets, since absorption from plant sources is lower and intake is often already thinner. Adults over 60, where shortfall is more common and immune function is more likely to benefit from support. Anyone heading into a stretch where being sick is not an option. Travel, exams, wedding season, a big project.

Pairs Well With

Vitamin C at $25. The pairing we place most, and the standard winter combination.

High Dose Vitamin-C at $250, where zinc is a natural complement and is not included.

Relief Support at $195, our most booked drip, which contains vitamin C but no zinc.

Respiratory Relief at $250 when you are already sick and want immune support alongside symptom relief.

Honest Expectations

Zinc supports normal immune function. That is a real role and a modest claim, and it is different from preventing illness. Where the evidence is strongest is in people who are actually short on zinc. Correcting a shortfall matters. Adding more when your levels are fine does considerably less, and your body clears what it does not use.

You will see claims that zinc shortens colds. The research behind that is mostly about zinc lozenges taken at the first sign of symptoms, which is a different delivery route and a different thing from what we offer. We are not making that claim. It does not treat any condition. Very high zinc intake over long periods can interfere with copper absorption, so mention any supplements you already take during the health review.

How It Is Given

Zinc goes into the same IV bag as the drip you booked. No separate stick and no extra time.

A licensed registered nurse places and monitors every drip. Before your visit, a provider reviews your health history and confirms what you booked is appropriate for you. Tell us about any medication you take, any condition you manage, and any prior reaction to an IV.

Mobile IV therapy is a wellness service and is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Zinc Through A DFW Winter

Our zinc volume climbs sharply from late October and stays high through March, and the pattern tracks school terms rather than temperature.

When something moves through a school district, we see immune support bookings spike across those zip codes about a week later. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Garland generate the most of these, and the caller is usually a parent trying to stay standing while the household works through it.

Zinc plus vitamin C on top of Relief Support at $195 comes to $245, which is the most common winter combination we place. It gives you the full Myers blend plus the two nutrients most associated with immune support.

If you want the deeper version, High Dose Vitamin-C at $250 with zinc added is the other route people take.

Zinc Questions

  • How much is it?

    $25 added to any drip.

  • Is zinc in any of your drips already?

No. It is an add-on across the whole menu, which makes it one of the few that never duplicates something you already paid for.

  • Should I pair it with vitamin C?

It is the combination we place most, particularly in winter.

  • Will it stop me getting sick?

No. It supports normal immune function, which is a smaller claim than prevention.

  • Does it shorten a cold?

We are not making that claim. The research people cite for it is about lozenges taken at symptom onset, which is a different route entirely.

  • Can I have it if I already take a zinc supplement?

Mention it during the health review. Very high intake over long periods can affect copper absorption.

  • Does it add time to my visit?

    No.
