What matters most is that you are confident starting a peripheral line without a second set of hands nearby. Nurses come to us from emergency departments, med surg floors, infusion centers, home health, and plasma centers.

Do you hire new graduates?

We look for at least a year of hands on IV experience, because you will be working alone in somebody’s home. If you are close to that and your IV skills are strong, apply anyway and tell us about them.

Rapid Relief Mobile IV is a family owned mobile IV therapy company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the surrounding North Texas counties. Our licensed nurses drive to homes, hotels, offices, gyms, and event spaces and provide hydration and vitamin IV therapy one client at a time. The company was started by a firefighter paramedic and his father, so the way we work is shaped by field experience rather than by a clinic floor plan.

We are always glad to hear from nurses who are good at IV starts, comfortable working on their own, and calm in somebody else’s living room. If that sounds like you, the application form on this page takes about five minutes.

Mobile work has a different rhythm than a hospital floor or a busy clinic. You have one client in front of you for the length of the visit, which usually runs 30 to 45 minutes. There is no call light going off in the next room and no charting backlog waiting for you at the end of a twelve hour shift.

You also meet people at their most human. Somebody who cannot keep fluids down after a stomach bug. A bride the morning after her bachelorette party. A crew that worked through a Texas August. A parent trying to get back on their feet before the school week starts. You show up, get them comfortable, start the line, and stay with them until it is finished.

You are also the only person the client talks to for the length of the visit, so patience matters as much as technique.

Openings move with demand. Hydration work gets busier through the summer and around the holidays, and it grows city by city as the service area fills in. You get your visits ahead of time with the address, the drip the client booked, and any notes from the health review. You stock your kit, drive to the first stop, confirm who you are treating, go back over the health questions in person, and start the infusion. You stay for the whole visit, keep an eye on how the client is doing, remove the line, document, and pack out.

Most visits are in a home. Some are in hotels or offices. Group bookings and events put several people at one address, and those get staffed with more than one nurse when the headcount calls for it.

If anything about a visit does not look right to you, whether that is the client’s condition, the answers on the health review, or the situation at the door, you have the authority to decline and call it in. That decision is supported every time. Nobody here is going to ask you to talk yourself into a stick you are not comfortable with.
