Mobile IV Therapy Questions

Everything people ask us before their first visit, answered straight. If your question is not here, text (469) 218-5260. We answer 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week.

The Basics

  • What is mobile IV therapy?

A licensed registered nurse comes to you and places an IV that delivers fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins straight into your bloodstream. There is no clinic to drive to. She sets up wherever you are comfortable, stays for the whole drip, and takes the entire setup with her when she leaves.

  • How long does a visit take?

Most run 30 to 45 minutes from the knock at the door to the goodbye. Setup is about five minutes. NAD+ takes longer because it infuses more slowly.

  • How much does it cost?

Drips run from $125 to $399 depending on what is in the bag. Add-ons start at $25. There is no membership, no signup fee, and no travel charge inside our service area.

  • Do you have a clinic I can visit?

No, and that is on purpose. We are mobile only. When you feel bad enough to want an IV, you usually do not feel well enough to drive across the metroplex and sit in a lobby.

  • What are your hours?

7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, including weekends and most holidays. After hours visits past 7:00 PM are possible with a $100 fee and depend on nurse availability.

  • Can you come today?

Often, yes. Text 972-347-0168 for the next real window. Text reaches us faster than email or the booking form for same day requests.

Cost And Payment

  • Do you take insurance?

We do not bill insurance. We do accept FSA and HSA, which covers a lot of people, so it is worth checking your account before assuming otherwise.

  • How do I pay?

FSA, HSA, credit, debit, Zelle, Cash App, and Venmo. Card transactions carry a 3 percent service fee.

  • When do I pay?

At the visit, not when you book. That order matters. If your nurse recommends something different once she has seen you, or decides a drip is not appropriate that day, you have not already paid for something you are not getting.

  • Is there a membership?

No. No membership, no monthly plan, no tiers, no signup fee. You pay for the visit you book and nothing else.

  • What fees might apply?

Four, and all of them are published. $100 after 7:00 PM. $100 if your address falls outside our service limit. $25 if you cancel less than 2 hours out. 3 percent on card transactions. Nothing else gets added at the door.

  • Is it cheaper if several of us book together?

Yes. Three or more people at one address gets 10 percent off, 11 to 15 gets 15 percent, and 16 or more gets 20 percent. One nurse can treat several people in a single visit.

Safety And Who It Is For

  • Who actually places the IV?

A licensed registered nurse, every time. Not a technician and not an assistant. Our nurses come out of ICU, emergency, oncology, cardiac, surgical, hospice, and home infusion settings.

  • Is IV therapy safe?

For most healthy adults, a hydration or vitamin drip is a low risk way to get fluids and nutrients quickly. It is not right for everybody, which is why a provider reviews your health history before your visit and your nurse reviews it again in person.

  • Who should check with a doctor first?

Anyone with kidney disease, heart failure, or a condition where fluid balance is managed closely. Also anyone pregnant, anyone taking medication that interacts with high dose vitamins, and anyone who has reacted badly to an IV before.

  • Does a provider actually review my information?

Yes, before anyone gets in a car. If something in your history raises a question, you hear from us first. It is not a waiver you sign at the door.

  • Can you treat children?

Call us before booking so we can go over it directly. Any visit involving a minor requires a parent or guardian present and consent.

  • What if I react badly during the drip?

Your nurse is with you the entire time and can stop the drip immediately. That is one of the main reasons we use registered nurses rather than technicians.

  • Is this a substitute for the emergency room?

No. Mobile IV therapy is a wellness service. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

The Visit Itself

  • Does it hurt?

You feel the stick and then generally nothing. If you are nervous about needles, say so when your nurse arrives. It comes up constantly, she will take her time, and nobody is going to rush you.

  • What if my veins are hard to find?

Tell your nurse when she arrives. Most of our team spent years doing IV access on people in far worse shape than you are in. Difficult veins are routine here.

  • Do I need to prepare anything?

Drink some water and eat something light if you can. It makes the vein easier to find and the visit more comfortable. Otherwise nothing. Your nurse brings everything, including the IV pole.

  • Where should I sit?

A couch or a recliner beats a kitchen chair. You are going to be there for 30 to 45 minutes and you want an armrest.

  • Can I work or sleep during the drip?

Both. Most people work, take calls, scroll their phone, or fall asleep. You do not have to entertain your nurse or stay upright.

  • What gets left behind?

Nothing. Your nurse packs out every bit of the setup, including a sharps container. Nothing goes in your trash and nothing is reused.

  • Can I change my drip when the nurse arrives?

Yes, and this happens often. She will tell you what makes sense based on how you actually look and feel, and the price adjusts to whatever you end up with.

Booking And Coverage

  • How far ahead should I book?

Same day works most of the time. If you want a narrow window, particularly early morning or on an event weekend, a day of notice is safer. Groups should book several days out.

  • Can I book for somebody else?

Yes, as long as they are 18 or older, present when the nurse arrives, and they complete the health review themselves.

  • What if I need to reschedule?

Text us. More than 2 hours before your appointment there is no charge at all.

  • Do you come to hotels?

Constantly, especially in the airport corridors. Give us the hotel name and the room number and your nurse comes straight up. You do not need to tell the front desk anything.

  • Do you come to offices?

Yes. A conference room with a door works well, and most drips are quiet enough that people keep working through them.

  • Is my address in your service area?

Text it to us and we will confirm before you book. Our area covers the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding North Texas counties, running west past Weatherford, north up the 287 and 81 corridors, east past Rockwall, and south toward Waxahachie.

  • How fast can a nurse reach me?

It depends on where you are. The core of the metroplex is quick. The outer edges take longer and are better booked with notice. We give you an arrival window rather than a single time, and we would rather quote a longer window than miss a promised one.

For Groups And Events

  • How many people can one nurse treat?

Several at one address in a single visit. Drips can run at the same time, so a group of six does not take six times as long. For larger groups we send more than one nurse.

  • Does everyone have to get the same drip?

No. Everyone picks their own and the group discount applies to the total based on headcount.

  • How far ahead should a group book?

A week is comfortable, two days is workable. Health reviews are individual and they take time across a group, which is the slowest part and the part we will not shortcut.

  • Can one person pay for everyone?

Yes. Common with corporate bookings and wedding parties. Tell us when you book so we set it up as one transaction.

Choosing A Drip

  • I do not know what to book

Text us how you are feeling. You do not need to know the menu. If you want a default, Relief Support at $195 is our Myers Cocktail and the most common starting point.

  • What is the difference between the cheap one and the expensive one?

Relief Essentials at $125 is plain saline, which is the right pick when dehydration is the actual problem. Everything above that adds vitamins and, on some drips, symptom support. More expensive does not mean better for your situation.

  • Will I feel better right away?

Often, particularly when dehydration is driving it, since you are getting fluids directly. Vitamin effects are less immediate. Anyone claiming every drip produces an instant transformation is selling.

  • How often can I do this?

Depends on you and on which drip. Some people book weekly, most book when something is going on. Ask your nurse what makes sense for your situation rather than following a schedule off a website.

  • Can I add things to my drip?

Yes, starting at $25. You can decide on the day. Check what your drip already includes first, since that trips people up and costs them money for nothing.

  • Do you offer weight loss treatments?

No, and we do not market IV therapy as a weight loss treatment.

What Makes A Good Mobile IV Service

If you are comparing options rather than just booking, these are the things actually worth checking.

  • Who places the IV

Ask whether it is a registered nurse or a technician. The difference shows up in how fast they find a vein, whether they notice when something is off, and whether they have the standing to tell you a drip is a bad idea today.

  • Whether the full price is published

Travel fees, after hours fees, and card fees that only appear at checkout are common in this industry. Every fee we charge is on our pricing page.

  • Whether a provider reviews your history

This should happen before anyone drives to you, not as a waiver you sign at the door. Ask when the review happens and who does it.

  • Whether they will tell you no

A service that recommends the most expensive bag every time is selling, not advising. The useful test is whether they will talk you down to something cheaper when that is the right call.
